Project Brief
Supporting Young People, Families and Communities
Welcome to the Vaccination Project. Croydon BME Forum in partnership with the National Health Service (NHS), in South London, aim to increase engagement with NHS Vaccination services and strengthen trust between communities and healthcare providers. At the moment we are focusing on the Croydon, Merton, Wandsworth, Lambeth and Southwark with online webinars and vaccination hubs.
Aims of the Service
- Increase vaccine confidence and uptake in Asian, Black African and Black Caribbean communities.
- Equip staff and community leaders with the knowledge and skills to effectively deliver vaccine-related information.
- Provide vaccinations for eligible members of the public or sign post them to vaccination sites.
- Support community events at community centres and churches to promote vaccine awareness and offer vaccination opportunities.
Family Health Hour
Healthy Kids, Healthy Families
Our Family Health Hour campaign will engage young people, parents, and carers across South London, through a range of community outreach events.
Our events create a culturally safe space where young people and families can learn, ask questions, and directly engage with NHS vaccination teams, the programme seeks to reduce barriers, address concerns, and improve health outcomes.
Join our mission to increase engagement with NHS Vaccination Services:
- Attend Webinars, workshops, & focus groups
- Complete our surveys & evaluation forms
- Visit our Community Hubs (Mitcham Road Hub, The Wellness Centre)
