The devastating hurricane that struck Jamaica has left families without homes, resources, and vital supplies. In this time of crisis, Croydon BME Forum is standing with the people of Jamaica — coordinating local efforts, collecting donations, and bringing our community together to provide real, practical support. 💚💛🖤
Here you’ll find volunteering opportunities, fundraising events, and the latest official updates from the Jamaican High Commission. Over the next few days, we’ll continue to update this page with new ways you can get involved, donate, and help rebuild lives.
Every act of kindness counts — whether you give your time, contribute financially, or share this campaign with others. Together, we can bring hope and relief to those who need it most.
👉 Join us. Support Jamaica. Make a difference.
Today, thanks to your incredible generosity, we successfully shipped 20 barrels and over 1000 boxes filled with food, drink and medical supplies to support those affected by the hurricane in Jamaica. 🙌🏾
This amazing milestone wouldn’t have been possible without your donations, time, and compassion — thank you to everyone who has contributed so far. 💛
There’s still more to do in the coming weeks, but together, we’re making a real difference.

We have created a Community Logo Map to celebrate and showcase all the groups, schools, churches, businesses, and organisations that have contributed to the hurricane relief donations coordinated through Croydon BME Forum. This map represents the incredible unity, generosity, and partnership across our borough and beyond — every logo reflects a community standing in solidarity with Jamaica during this critical time. If you believe your organisation’s logo should be included, please get in touch at info@bmeforum.org and we would be happy to add you.
We’ve now created a Q&A document that answers many of the questions people have been asking about the Jamaica Hurricane Relief effort.
If you have any questions that aren’t covered, please email us at info@bmeforum.org — we’ll be happy to help and add them to the next update.
Together, we’re making a real difference. 🇯🇲
In response to the devastating hurricane in Jamaica, Croydon BME Forum, Windrush Generation Legacy Association and Partners will be opening our Head Office this Saturday from 9am to 6pm to receive donations for those affected.
We are in contact with the Jamaican High Commission in the UK, who have shared guidance on the key items urgently needed.
Over the coming weeks, we will also need volunteers to assist in various roles as we coordinate this vital relief effort.
If you can volunteer this Saturday, please get in touch as soon as possible at info@bmeforum.org.
