Jamaica Hurricane Relief – Phase 2 Distribution

At the end of last year we concluded our physical donation phase of the hurricane relief, and we would like to sincerely thank everyone who has stood with the people of Jamaica during this difficult time. The generosity shown by our community has been truly overwhelming.

We have now moved into Phase Two: Distribution. In which, a small team has been sent to Jamaica to work alongside trusted local partners, ensuring that aid is distributed safely and directly to families most affected by the hurricane. We believe transparency is essential. No donated funds have been used for flights or accommodation for the travelling team. This deployment is entirely self-funded, and every contribution remains focused on supporting Jamaican communities on the ground.

You can follow the journey and see the real impact of your support through updates shared on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, highlighting how donations are reaching real families in need. Thank you for continuing to stand with Jamaica.

Phase 2 Videos

As we continue on in the new year, we thank everyone who has supported the people of Jamaica during this difficult time. The donation phase of our Jamaica Hurricane Relief campaign has now concluded, and Phase Two  Distribution  is officially underway.
The first container has finally arrived in Jamaica after significant delays, unloaded by hand and delivered to the Coconut Industry Board, marking real progress as vital supplies begin reaching communities across the island.
We have met with key partners including Alicia Herbert, the British High Commissioner to Jamaica; Shaun Cameron, CEO of the Coconut Industry Board; and Annika, one our other local distributors, while also working closely with the local police to ensure items are distributed fairly and safely.
On the ground, communities like Parottee and Aberdeen continue to show incredible resilience with some families still without power reminding us why this mission matters and why continued solidarity is so important.

As we reach the end of Phase 1 here are some videos of the community in action. Working together to help Jamaica.

Jamaica Hurricane Relief Update

Today, thanks to your incredible generosity, we successfully shipped 20 barrels and over 1000 boxes filled with food, drink and medical supplies to support those affected by the hurricane in Jamaica. 🙌🏾

This amazing milestone wouldn’t have been possible without your donations, time, and compassion — thank you to everyone who has contributed so far. 💛

There’s still more to do in the coming weeks, but together, we’re making a real difference.

We have created a Community Logo Map to celebrate and showcase all the groups, schools, churches, businesses, and organisations that have contributed to the hurricane relief donations coordinated through Croydon BME Forum. This map represents the incredible unity, generosity, and partnership across our borough and beyond — every logo reflects a community standing in solidarity with Jamaica during this critical time. If you believe your organisation’s logo should be included, please get in touch at info@bmeforum.org and we would be happy to add you.
